Introducción
“El rechazo de un niño a alimentarse se caracteriza por la negatividad a comer todos o la mayoría de los alimentos”
(Beaudry Bellefeuille I, 2014). Se hace necesario establecer un protocolo de intervención que optimice la detección de
factores que pueden estar influenciando.
Con intervención clínica se realiza desde dos áreas de trabajo que están ligadas en el proceso de intervención en la
alimentación, la Terapia Ocupacional y la Logopedia.
Objetivos del estudio
Detectar los factores que aparecen en el niño y la influencia en su aceptación y rechazo a los alimentos.
Establecimiento de plan de actuación e intervención específica desde las áreas de trabajo de Terapia Ocupacional y
Logopedia.
Metodología
Análisis de las dificultades de alimentación, uso de registros (Marie-J Tessier, adaptado por I.Beaudry). Aspectos a valorar:
problemas médicos, habilidades oromotrices, integración sensorial, autonomía personal y fases de la deglución.
Registro miofuncional: exploración anatómica y funcional del sistema orofacial.
Tratamiento:
3.1.Trabajo de las funciones de integración sensorial a nivel global. (Figura 1)
3.2 Trabajo de la tolerancia táctil a explorar alimentos con las manos. (Figura 2 y 3)
3.3 Trabajo de las fases de la alimentación: fase inicial de control postural, musculatura facial, masticación, lateralizar lengua, dirigir el alimento en la boca y deglución. (Figura 4 y 5)
3.4. Reconducir hábitos alimentarios. (Figura 6)
3.4 Trabajo con la familia.
Resultados o implicaciones prácticas
Se ven influenciados por el perfil de cada niño, existen mejorías en la tolerancia de alimentos a nivel táctil en manos y
boca, mejora de las texturas semi-sólidas y sólidas, mejora del tono muscular orofacial y masticación.
Conclusiones
La evolución de cada caso se ve marcada por el ritmo de desarrollo del niño, los aspectos emocionales y psicológicos y
el nivel de neuro-desarrollo.
